There had to be a building after Greyfriars Kevin don't you think? Perhaps the theory is that the King was buried inside the church, which I seem to recall was a custom to protect the grave site, and it was forgotten who was down there. Good job parking fees don't apply.....they would be worth a 'Kings' ransom' :D

On 4th February, 2013 an announcement was made that a skeleton exhumed from under a Leicester, UK car park is that of King Richard III.

The proof was through DNA tests.

Richard III was killed at the battle of Bosworth Field in 1485.

This was a period of major destruction of church property. The dissolution of the monasteries, and the separation of England from Roman Catholic influence, was responsible for the wholesale destruction of churches and ecclesiastical buildings.
