The guy in the upper right is Dr. Norman Thagard! He was one of my professors at school. First American to ride a soviet space ship, made the trip to MIR. He was an engineer and medical doctor, used to tell us "I don't think I'd strap that on my back and ride it into space" (also used to say it slightly different too). STS-7 was his first (of 4) shuttle mission. He had pictures of each in his office at school.
