Hi and welcome to the Forum!
In regard to your question, what type of card does it use also do you have the camera cable to hook up to a computer? With the Camera Connection Kit you can hook your camera directly to the iPad using this cable or alternatively I believe you can put other cards into an SD card adapter then insert into the CCK connected to the iPad.
