Just in case there’s anyone left on the planet who doesn’t know the name PewDiePie, he’s actually the highest subscribed YouTuber in the world, with nearly 36 million subscribers.
Simply having PewDiePie feature a game in one of his YouTube videos can dramatically increase sales of said game, and he has a habit of resurrecting old games, such as Skate 3, keeping them in the sales charts for many months.
With his avid army of followers, it was therefore only a matter of time before PewDiePie (a.k.a. Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg) created his own video game, which he has just announced on his YouTube channel, of course, and which is called PewDiePie: Legend of Brofist.
As Pocket Gamer reports, Legend of Brofist is a 2D action-platformer where you play as PewDiePie or his partner CutiePie, and their two pugs Edgar and Maya.
While much of the plot has yet to be released, you can bet it will be as wild and wacky as the man himself, with one of the locations being an island shaped like a duck!
In the one level that PewDiePie has demoed on YouTube, you can see the YouTuber having to free several Shannon the sharks to finish the icy level, after they have been tied up by his arch enemy, barrels. And don’t worry if that doesn’t make any sense, as it will be crystal clear to any of his millions of fans!
Look for the game to be released this summer.
