I purchased my iPad Feb. 4/11. Last week I saw some purple banding on the viewing screen - about an inch wide and running the length of the screen. A call to Apple suggested it may be a pixel problem. I had also purchased an Apple Protection Plan, but I saw the date of expiry was 3 months prior to my purchase date. Further conversations with Apple suggest I may have purchased an iPad which had originally been purchased back in November 2010 by another consumer. After refurbishing, the iPad was re-packaged, sent to the retailer in Alberta, where I purchased it as a new device. Anyone else have an experience with refurbished items, or this purple banding anomaly?
