Question about downloaded content

When I download content via an app such as a video from a news source, does that content remain in the SSD? If so, that would create a lot of clutter and wasted space over time. Is there a way to check this, clear it out, etc? I know about doing this on a Windows system but am at a loss on my iPad 2. Thanks.

If the app is actually downloading the video and storing it, then yes, it would remain there until the app is removed and/or the app removes it.

However, if the app is streaming the video, it will not take up space.

Several apps that download content have facilities within 'Settings' to clear their cache of video, news items etc. It's worth checking out whether the apps that you're concerned about have that capability in the 'Settings' app on the iPad.
