Question about iTunes with 2 devices

Hi folks,

Just a quick question regarding syncing - is it possible to use both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4s with one installation of iTunes but keep the apps, video, music etc.. separate?

What I'd like is to have some apps for my phone but a different selection for my iPad without iTunes trying to sync everything to both devices...

Yes, I have many iDevices syncing to the same iTunes account on the same Mac, you set each one up how you want it, picking and choosing from the tabs along the top of the iTunes window to decide what (and how many) of each apps, music, video, photos, etc, etc go to each device.
