According to a new report from Japan’s MacOtakara, via AppleInsider, Apple is to launch three new iPad Pro models in Spring 2017, one of which will be a mini 7.9-inch model, as well as 10.1-inch and 12.9-inch models.
The “reliable sources” quoted in the report said the 7.9-inch iPad Pro mini, as well as the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, will have the Apple Smart Connector, quad-speaker audio, four microphones, a True Tone display with DCI-P3 “Wide Color” support, and 12-megapixel rear camera.
The 10.1-inch model, which is basically a slightly bigger revamp of the old 9.7-inch iPad Pro model, will also have four microphones, and already has the Wide Color True Tone display, of course.
If these latest rumours are true, they support an earlier report from August of this year from well-sourced KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said that Apple would be launching three iPad models in 2017, specifically mentioning a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, which Kuo said would have a completely redesigned chassis and AMOLED display panel.
