Sky Go iOS App Gets Updated With Anytime On-Demand Movies

T3 reports today that Sky in the UK has just release an update to its free Sky Go for iOS app today that bestows on its users (provided they are Sky TV subscribers, of course!) the ability to watch on-demand films on the go. According to T3, the new Anytime content provides a selection of on-demand movies that cover a broad span of genres and have been chosen to suit a wide range of viewing tastes.

“Sky Movies on demand is a great addition to Sky Go and gives customers complete control over how, when and now where they enjoy the latest movies,†Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies, told T3.

Although at present users will only be able to view the on-demand movies over a Wi-Fi connection, Sky says that it plans to introduce Sky Go Anytime 3G by the end of 2011.
