Sony Launches Crackle iPad and iPhone App

Does anyone know, how the service is financed?

For example, in the UK a TV license is required to legally watch online TV, such as through the BBC iplayer. Would this TV license also be required for Crackle, or does it run under a different license?

I gave it a test run yesterday, but then it occurred to me, that I may not be allowed to watch the content.

Any thoughts?

This is just a big fail, as far as I am concerned. Again I have no sound in the actual content. Adds yes, content nope!

I went to website and registered and tried to send an email through 'contact us' on their own website and it was returned as undeliverable. FAIL!

On their blog there are postings for this same problem. One tech responded saying they are working on it and that was two months ago. Two months!?!?!?! Really?!

With no communication, no way to get a fix in over two months???? BIG FAIL!!!!!

Why does not this application make it possible to look at the shows in a TV?

checking the web, seems like there was a dodgy batch of hdmi adapters, when did you buy yours? might be worth takng your ipad and said adapter to your local store, and hook it up to one of there hdtvs to prove it is faulty

I just read in the application information one can stream the shows on Crackle. The HDMI cable did not do that very well.

I checked their website and it's available in the US only right now. Maybe that will change in the future...
