Here's how to make a theme (it requires Photoshop or other professional Photo editors). (got this info from the book iPhone Hacks)

All iOS icons are actually png pictures. You can just replace them but in Winterboard it just creates a theme so it just redirects the apps to look for their icons to the dedicated folder so everything can be easily undoed in a tap. Each theme is in /Library/Themes/name-of-theme.theme which is a symbolic link to /Var/stash/themes.WA77b5/ . You should give your theme folder a .theme extension as it's easier to work with and can still work like a folder. /Themes/theme-name.theme/Wallpaper.png will change your wallpaper (for old iPhones, iPod touches). Themes/theme-name.theme/Icons/app-name.png are for icons, just make sure they are the correct size. Sound files are in Themes/theme-name/UIsounds/ sounds use a .caf extension but are actually .aif files.

On the main cydia page....there is a themes section and is divided by SD, HD & iPad themes.

I un-installed winterboard, seemed to be a memory hog, until suarik updates and only use 'masks' now. Which is even easier to create icons for by placing a any black image on a white background. There are mask packs in cydia.

Mask add ons for mask app ~ says only for HD idevices (iPhone4) but You just need to copy the icons from the icons2x folder(var/mobile/library/masks) to the iPad folder thru ifile and it will work.

Maskpack1HD ~ numerous masks...
Also comes with a few mask packs pre-installed...Along with various settings.

I just loaded "Wifi Fingers"

Pretty cool, it replaces the 4 bars of Wifi signal with a hand holding up 4 fingers and as the signal drops so do the number of fingers.

I also loaded "Circles icons" yesterday and it does as the name implies, turns your icons into circles.

There is also an app that will change your icon shape into anything you want. I don't remember what it is called.

When I go into Settings, there is a new section called Extensions and under that is something called Activator.

I have never seen this before. Is it because I am JB?

Activator is an add on that comes with sbsettings. It is what makes sbsettings appear when you slide on the status bar. Poke around activator. It has some cool stuff.

Yeah, Activator is the second reason (behind SBSettings) why I love my JB. It allows you to use gestures to open/close apps 'n' do other stuff.
