Ok so they are in....
(hard drive)- users-(your user)-app data-roaming-apple computer-iTunes-iPad software updates.
You have to have hidden folders visible.
To do that, in xp, go to my computer, click on tools, folder options, view, and in the list under hidden files and folders click on "show hidden files and folders". In win 7... (to be continued)

Same steps as xp. So, click on view at the top of that window, and at the middle-bottom it says "hidden files and folders" under that click on "show hidden filed and folders" then click apply and ok.
