Hayles, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I've been through that a couple of times and it's always heart wrenching they are so much a part of the family. We have a cat that's almost 12 I am already worrying for her and about the impact that will have on my girls. They haven't experienced a loss like that yet. I truly hope you're family is managing through this.

Oh, hell, I hate to spoil all your fun but I have real bad news. I came home to find my Springer Spaniel in deep distress. Heart attack, I think. Waiting for hubby to carry him to vets. Last time this time. He's the same age as my eldest daughter. Knew this was coming!

I celebrate Xmas end of November if it's any interest to you! Halloween is naturally celebrated because my birthday is on the 29th and hubby's is on Halloween.

Oh I am sorry. I can only imagine the devastation you are feeling. I don't know you but my thoughts are with you. Please let us know how it goes.

He is 16 years old. We are just off now. Thanks guys.

Hi, guys! I'm back. He had a form of brain disease and there was nothing the vet could do for him. Thanks again for support. It was like losing a member of my family. I couldn't keep a stiff upper lip and started hubby off. The vet and nurse were really good and supplied tissues. My daughter will plant Heather on his grave in honour of her name. His birthday was next week. He would have been 17.

Thanks again.

Oh I am so sorry, my deepest sympathies. Know he is without pain and with love.

Thank you ever so much for the love and support I'm getting from you all. This dog has been with the family since forever according to my two girls and it's like a big hole in the home. It was so quiet this morning when I went to let out our border collie cross springer Bonnie. She is always looking for him. Let's hope she copes with being alone today.
