Here are some photos I took some years years ago,when the Queen Mother visited Regina,Saskatchewan.
I did get to shake hands with Her.


Whoa!!! You got to shake hands with THE Queen!!!???? That is SOOO cool! I'm an American and even I'm jealous of that one! Seriously, the Queen Mother is one of the most remarkable, intelligent, amazing people in the world in the last 100 years.

The Queen Mother passed away 10 years ago. She was an iconic Royal, although there were tales about her temper!

I am American too, but I always thought the Queen Mother was a lovely women. Now that I hear about the temper thing, I think I like her a little bit more.

just had such a laugh,driving back from the antiques fair and saw a couple sat on the Hard Shoulder of the m18 having a picnic,deck chairs out and everything,i would love to have seen what the Motorway Police made of that LOL.

correct,the Hard Shoulder is just for emergencies,stopping to have a picnic is definitely a no no,hilarious lol.

im not really sure as its not an everyday thing like speeding or something,maybe get a good telling off if the police are in a good mood.

Last time I was on the hard shoulder, the car broke down and we got told off just for sitting in the car and not standing on the side of the road for safety. That was a few years ago mind!
