It was over 1,600 years until anything as sophisticated as this was built again.
 
Things must be unsettled in the insurance world.

Churchill Insurance built their new HQ near me. They had a bespoke set of signs put up on the building. It looked good and proud.

After a year or so, the signs were changed to RBS.

Now, just now, I see the signs have been changed to Direct line Insurance ( or similar)!

At least the big British Bulldog has survived. Oh Yes :). Nod nod. :)

I hope the mods will forgive me for pushing a super thread which seems to have too few participants.

Take a look at What is it? I have a low tech challenge running. Look at Scifan's signature for a link to the thread. It would be great to broaden the subjects

I almost guessed earlier that your pic was a cooking thermometer...but afraid it was so far out of the ball park with all the other pics posted...I didn't!

I believe that Robert Clary was a concentration camp survivor,with the tattoo on his arm.If he could survive that,it's no wonder he's still with us.
