Now, steady there Stranding! Tommy Trinder and Norman Wisdom had a lot going. I remember watching Norman filming Up in the World when I was a youngster! Our house was opposite Pinewood Studios - and what a playground for a gang of boys, if we could get in without being spotted.

For lots of forum members, not just the Brits.
You were really fortunate to live there & I agree, how did you ever get to grow up? Or perhaps you still haven't, like me?!

People still seem to have a big soft spot for the films made there. Whenever that Rank gong man started his swing, we knew it was likely to be a Pinewood film and we were in for a treat!

Unfortunately, we had moved away to Kent by 1965. So we missed being there for Star Wars.

I must return to Pinewood, to go on a conducted tour.

I had strawberry cream cake at school today and chocolatey chocolate cake. Yum. Our fete went well. Loads of dosh for our coffers. Put star in the dog show but sadly the judge didn't agree with me on his handsomeness.
