The "Anything Goes" thread

Hah... but that's exactly what you are *meant* to think...but I ask you to just pause & look at it again.

In fact a rather swish, neatly re-designed Centurion Tank-like object comes to mind, don't you agree?

So!!!

Yes, it has an alien look to it. :). It would fit in nicely with Battlestar Galactica ;)

Very funny:-)

Looks very small?
If it is, how on earth could he "draw" accurately enough like this--with what I presume must be a pretty big machine for doing miles of lines?

And will the perpetrator be arrested for defacing the road?:-)

The figure is about 6" tall.

A city worker who was painting traffic markings on a street in downtown Chicago obviously had way too much time on his hands:D

He had even more time on his hands than I thought.

While I was riding the chalk downs recently DH went off to find a nice quiet spot for some coffee & Kindling. By chance he found this idyllic spot by a bridge over a stream, complete with handy bench with a view.

As he sat there, a man rode up on a horse, got off, led the horse into the stream while he stood & texted. He seemed to be a bit suspicious of his watcher... But the horse seemed quite at home with this arrangement!
In Google maps, the place (just west of Letcombe Bassett) is the same, except the post in front is new. Presume that's to stop any more odd cars from taking that route instead of the road.

The stream was set up with watercress beds:

That needs running water I think, so these areas are cordoned off, sort of.

Stranding, I'd love to be there - I'd be walking, but it looks so relaxing. Are you tempted to sketch these scenes? The reflections in the photos are great.

Throw them into those watercress beds, Stranding (spellcheck likes your name now :) ) Well no, the tranquility and quality of the place would be much disturbed. :D

Yes, in times gone by, we would loved to have been walking here. Now it would be trundling for me--which is great but at this time, I was doing the one & only thing that tops that--riding a horse!

As for sketching scenes like these, yes, that beautiful water is very tempting, but when not in working mode, for choice I'm more into animals / birds / flowers or sea scenes with sailing boats (plus the necessary ropes & knots!). Animals usually with fur, feathers or wool, but thinking of trying a snake or two after hearing of Hayles python!

Posting some pics taken of new digital audio boards installed at our media centre.

Very minimal and clean.

This is the before ...
