What's new

The "Anything Goes" thread

I'm having issues with Safari in iOS 6. It's loading pages all funny, like these:

And sometimes (quite frequently on the iPF site, actually) there are big white blotches covering part of the screen. :(

Another glitch I just experienced in Safari on iPF.net:

Empty reply box (no control toolbar, unable to type anything)

Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. After the iPad finishes shutting down, wait a few seconds then hold the power button down until the Apple logo appears.
The other one is when you press both power buttons at the same time.

That's the answer Hayles......

when mine does that, it's time for a restart/reset and then it's good. :)

Whenever we have a problem with electronics at work, our IT department's first responses is to ask ...... "have you turned it off and back on again?"

I have been getting the jigsaw and the no reply box as well, Goofy. I have also done the restart and reset but it continues, since updating. My guess is that things have to start catching up with their own updates to be aligned with ios 6.

Yup. Totally agreed. I've just realised that my shared videos from my laptop to iPad don't respond. At all. They play but I touch the screen and no controls come on to stop or anything. I close the app and its still playing, I close it down in the multi bar and it still plays until it switches itself off.

We will have to wait for the updates, I suppose.

Here's some photos of CN locomotive #5093, currently preserved at the former Union Station in Regina, now the Casino Regina. This type of locomotive is known as the "Pacific" type on account of it's 4-6-2 wheel arrangement.
It was manufactured by the Montreal Locomotive Works in December 1917.

Have any of you tried Clear Cookies and Data in Settings > Safari?

@Goofy, I notice you have a lot of tabs open. You might try closing most of them and see if it improves Safari's performance.

I did the cookie clearing twice, closed out my tabs and my apps. Did a restart and a reset also. Doesn't happen as much, but did happen again this morning.
