The story is tragic. It was rooted in the British press that some people refused to help, such as calling 911, because they didn't know the mother.

Unfortunately, I am not surprised, Staten Island can be very racist (no offense to anyone who lives there); the mother was a woman of color. Very sad, I hope those people are proud of themselves. Do you have a link to the article you have, Richard, I didn't read that in my articles.

There is now an Apple Store in Spokane, so at the very least you could spend lots of money.

I'm guessing the answers are at least partially location based, since Spokane's not terribly far from here.
