My daughter gave me this as an Easter gift:

I'm now missing all the little things my daughters made me at school!
Hi all, it's great to catch up on this thread and to laugh with everyone over the subject range.
It's typical of our luck - the weather wasn't that good last week in Lisbon. Yesterday was sunny for our trip home. I've now woken up to a great sunny morning!

I lost mine last week for 4 days.....it's just awful! And I don't like being dependent on something!
It would be impossible to store, I think. I tried first, but most of the things my children produced were made of paper, and as time went by, were destroyed by carelessness or humidity. :-( It's a question of place for storing, too.

Don't I know it Leelai. My family think I'm nuts. I was grumpy the whole time. That's not like me at all. I must be addicted. I missed you guys so much. I couldn't find out all the latest news or anything. The signal for my iphone is rubbish here in the country and I had to go outside just to get a signal. That didn't work either. You don't realise how dependent you are until something happens to the line. BT went down with quite a few lines including The West Country and Oxford. They don't tell you why just to be patient. Grrrrrr.

It's great to be back. Photos of Lisbon will be following, once I've sorted, edited etc!
Our "carriage" awaiting at Gatwick...
That bridge over a taxiway s something else, and near the end of a very long walk to our gate. The travellators are few and far between between the departures gate and the bridge.

I saved a lot of my girls childhood things and you're right they do take up a lot of room. Oodles didn't last the distance though.
Here's one that lives on my desk, a Christmas angel my eldest did in grade 2.....she's 17 years old, the Angel that is.
You'll notice she's lost all of one arm and the hand of the other.

Here's one that lives on my desk, a Christmas angel my eldest did in grade 2.....she's 17 years old, the Angel that is.
You'll notice she's lost all of one arm and the hand of the other.
