Haha. And I just figured out how to place accents using my MBP. Hold down the relevant key until a popup appears, then select the required accent by number. This OS is SO intuitive.

I'm back! I was intending to post after catching up on this thread, but Kevin's post cut across my good intentions

Many moons ago, I posted about a useful set of iPad help pages on line. One covered the accented keys. The trouble is remembering some of the hidden symbols. The decimal point is one I cannot find. It's my "lost chord"!

The colour is so "Jordan". I re,ber she was pulled up by the police for some driving offence while at the wheel of her pink Range Rover. Any other colour, and she may not have been noticed.

Not quite. I'm looking for the point which is raised above the base line of the numbers. It's placed about midway up the height of a lower case letter. I thought I had found the symbol. But never again. It's more likely my eyesight and poor memory playing tricks!

Hi all, it's great to catch up on this thread and to laugh with everyone over the subject range.
It's typical of our luck - the weather wasn't that good last week in Lisbon. Yesterday was sunny for our trip home. I've now woken up to a great sunny morning!
