One neighbour has decided to kill off ivy which has overwhelmed a mature tree. The tree surgeon cut out a section of ivy stems and we are experiencing heavy leaf fall as the ivy dies off.

I'm not too sure whether the tree is alive.

I don't know the species of tree, but it drops large black seed pods which produce a black inky substance when crushed.

In yesterday,s London Metro paper there was an intriguing strap-line. It said something like " Why were Klingons dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller?"

The news article was about the making of the new Star Trek movie.

OK, does anyone wish to guess why they were dancing?

The 'Duras' sisters are throwing a movie debut party and these particular Klingons were invited?

That's a nice idea, AA.

Apparently J J Abrams, the director of Star a trek into the Darkness, liked to keep cast and staff amused during idle time. So he had pop jazz etc played over the sound systems. A lot of M Jackson numbers were played.

One day, Thriller was on and the actress who plays Uhura started to do the zombie dance. A load of Klingons then joined in. Wow, I wonder whether anyone filmed it. It would probably go viral!
