A friend's daughter made this for her mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer in January. She is doing well and just finished her last round of chemo and radiation 'therapy'

I've saved it to publish in the magazine I edit. It will be in the March 2014 edition as the UK's Mothering Sunday will be on 30th March

By chance I read today, in a tweet to Cmdr. Hadfield (ISS), that the UK celebrates Mother's Day in March. I didn't know that before.

That reminds me of something similar I did for my mom when she was fighting breast cancer. Thank you, zstairlessone....it reminds me to place my annual donation to my favorite breast cancer research organization.

We were watching a news clip about the singing astronaut, Canadian Chris Hadfield.

He sings well and David Bowie enjoyed his rendition of "Space Oddity."

cris is a rock star! and he sings well.
