What's new

The "Anything Goes" thread

In it's day, Easyscript was one hell of a word processor, and it ran in 8kilobytes. That's 8192 bytes for those having trouble believing that.

No bloatware there.

I remember paying almost $100.00 for a 4K memory chip for my pocket computer back in the late 70’s.

I recently got to play with a computer running MS-DOS and an old 16 bit version of windows. Strange, difficult and limited, but much more efficient use of the processing power available. I see now the draw into the PC world of all night programming and hacking/cracking, I felt I was in direct communication and control of the PC while in DOS. Got to use an assembler and wrote a couple of low level programs - too cool. Nathan, glad you are keeping this part of our past alive.

For those of us who enjoy historical aircraft in the UK.

The Lancaster Bomber will be flying from RAF Scampton Lincs to Biggin Hill Kent. She should arrive by noon today.

I'm glad too! I own a C64 that still works, and I am glad to do so!

A Commodore 64 a day keeps the Apple II away!
