I can also confirm that limera1n does not work. Tried on 3 computers, Itunes 10 & 10.1beta, win 7 & xp

Okay well we aren't stupid, I hold the home button for the whole sequence once and still nothing. It's a software bug, no doubt about it.

Not saying anyone is stupid

But I followed the instructions and it worked for me. And I think many other people have jailbroken their iPads with Limera1n as well.

I bet that Geohot will release a more user-friendly version soon...

Put your tail down and walk out of this thread, because I KNOW what I'm doing thank you very much and user stupidity is, believe it or not, the problem holding me back from a sweet sweet jailbreak.

Dungeon Hunter is for sale in the App Store. There is no need to jailbreak to get it. If you are wanting to get the game in any other way, it can not be discussed on this forum.

Hey, bud. I was able to jailbreak mine with limera1n, and just to make sure, I restored to stock and jailbroke it again. It works. Sorry it's not working for you, but it's not a software bug. I'm far from the only person who has successfully jailbroken their iPad using Limera1n. Just check the threads here and elsewhere.

I had the same problem. Restore your ipad from itunes, restart your computer and try again. It works.

I've still been trying to jailbreak... iPad NEVER shows any signs of Jailbreak.. Just kicks out of DFU into recovery mode... I'm getting a bit frustrated... I'm on Win 7 64bit...

Still in the same boat here, too.

Blackra1n, limera1n, RecBoot, Tinyumbrella, none of them seem to be able to get me out of DFU.

The software bug may only target a set number of iPads. I'm quite sure it's a software bug as I'm a developer myself and I'm sure I'm doing the right stuff.

Has anyone who has used it successfully then tried to upgrade to 4.2? Does the jailbreak still work if you upgrade the os after jailbreaking, or do you then need a separate 4.2 jb after the fact? I'm new at this...
