Thought all the square eyes might like to see our Tigger. He's been watching night & day non stop, close up. But today he's starting to lose his bounce & needs a loo-break & a cuppa tea to revive him. He says he'll be back...& we believe him.
Tigger has now completely recovered his bounce and wants to demo how he sits in front of the TV. Except that this is the microwave...because he thinks it will show off his best side. And in a more flattering light.
He would also like me tell you that he's AVID for the women's beach volleyball tonight. That's no surprise.
NB: in case anyone wonders, Tigger chose his name in honour of Tigger, the diminutive toy tiger of Christopher Robin, in the classic book "Winnie the Pooh" by AA Milne. He's the one that bounces up & down non-stop.
Apparently this has now been officially diagnosed (by the Canadian Medical Journal, no less)-- as severe ADHD. The other toys are all suffering too from various disorders.
A quote from here:
http://mobile.omg-facts.com/view/Facts/3997
>>>"Winnie-the-Pooh characters all represent mental disorders.
Winnie-the-Pooh may seem like an innocent children's story on the surface, but after deeper inspection it doesn't appear to be so! Journals published in the Canadian Medical Journal have shed new light on the characters.
First written by A. A. Milne in 1926, and after being acquired by Disney, Winnie-the-Pooh went on to become one of the most successful children's series of all time. However, it turns out there are immense psychological undertones throughout the series and each character was meant to portray a different disorder. Tigger has severe ADHD, Piglet has anxiety, Rabbit is a pedantic loner, Owl has OCD, Eore has extreme depression, while Pooh represents an addict!" <<<
So now we know what we oldies always knew anyway
A strange spelling of "Eeyore"!
