What's new

The Official I got my iPad 2 Thread!

I got my white 64GB AT&T 3G model a few days ago at Walmart and spent a couple of days syncing and setting up, so I'm just now starting to really explore and play with the thing. I am definitely not disappointed. I bought a tan leather smart cover for the front and should receive a matching CoverBuddy for the back within the next few days. Until then, it stays in a neoprene pouch when not in use. I'm debating whether an Otterbox might be a wise investment. It leaves home with me on a regular basis and I'm afraid I'll drop it, but I hate to lose the slim and sleek feel. A definite conundrum. I also purchased the Apple Wireless Keyboard to use with my new ipad and had a little trouble getting them to pair up, but a quick search of this forum solved that problem in short order. Now I'm searching for the best writing and genealogy apps. Ahhh, I think I'm in love.

I got myself an otter box case but i don't think you Lose the slim and sleek look when you get one..to me...its still pretty slim And it surely does protect the device. I move around with mine a lot too and my girlfriend has already dropped it once. That being said it does add some bulk..and you may not be comfortable with that..so I'd say go to walmart and try to see if u can get it "fitted"

And most of all congratulations on the iPad. Lol

Thanks for the advice. Just for my peace of mind I think I'm going to get the otter box. Better safe than sorry, you know. I scrimped and saved for too long to risk losing it now.

I purchased the black 64GB wifi model and it is awesome. Also got the smart cover and a clear Bellini hard cover for back. I tried a Zagg invisible shield screen protector but I screwed up the install. Worried I might scratch screen so may try again with clear screen protector.

Late to the party, i'm sure but this is gross2k2. About a couple of weeks ago I purchased a 16GB Wifi black iPad. I have since developed a problem. I should have went for the bigger size. I can not believe how much I love this iPad. I want and need to do more with it. I want to buy more accessories. I already purchased a black Smart Cover. I'm almost at capacity for apps. Doing everyday things with this has changed my routine entirely. I am glad to see I am not alone with my addiction.

To all of you I say, greetings.

Greetings 2U, gross2k2. I went through the same thing with my first iPod touch, I got the 8gb, and filled it to capacity in no time. When I upgraded I got more memory. When I bought my first iPad I didn't consider anything except the 64gb. Books and music don 't take up much space, but movies and some apps do. It's better for you to stream or rent movies, and that will help free up some space.

Just picked up my iPad 2

I am now the proud owner of a 32GB ipad 2 and newest member of this forum.

I exhausted resources and in-store displays when trying to determine which tablet was for me. After much deliberation, I happily picked up my iPad this past Friday. Almost went for Samsung's Galaxy Android OS tab..but the plastic backing just kept me from it. If you're gonna drop dime on a luxury item, get the best..and I believe I have.

Really glad to happen upon this place..ton's of information for a new tablet user. Looking forward to sharing.

I received my iPad2 64GB Verizon 3G model as a gift about a month ago. I never really wanted one as I wasn't sure what I would do with it, but I can say that after playing with it for the past month, I'm a convert. Stumbled across this forum after I started transcoding video and was looking for tips, tricks and guides for the best quality.

I got my iPad 2 Saturday.... in trade for my HTC Inspire and an iPhone 3GS I had. I cannot believe my luck! It's only 2 weeks old.... He gave me the receipt, black smart cover and everything! Turns out he just wanted to go back to Android but his wife wanted the iPhone... I think I am the clear winner here. :) There isn't a mark on it... you would think I took it out of the box myself. I do miss my phones (had to go back to using my old iPhone 3G for now but it's completely worth it!

Old but I got my iPad

Hi
As in Israel everything arrives a bit late, I got my my 64 3G iPad by a total mistake, as all the iPad2 that arrived to Israel were sold-out in the first 2 hours of opening. I had my iPad 2 days later just because one of the office depot store managers updated 1 less iPad in the store's stock:)

This story is too good. Glad it worked out for you. I'd be ecstatic if it were me. Congrats!

Only just found this site

..having become a very happy and proud owner of the iPad2 64Gb Wi-Fi model.
I have to say I've barely used my Windows 7 PC since and I'm still learning all of the tricks and workarounds of iOS 4.3.4

I've had a quick look around this forum and like what I've seen thus far - I'm confident this community has the answers to all my questions!

Let the fun begin :)
