Before you guys break open the champagne and put on your party hats, let me shed some light on the subject...
We have a "Three Strikes and You're Out" rule in place.
The first infraction is a warning.
The second infraction is a 3 day "vacation" from the forum.
The third infraction is a permanent ban from the forum.
We take this politeness thing very seriously here. We expect people to act like adults and watch their language.
The other thing to be aware of is that arguing with a moderator in the open in a post is a really, REALLY bad idea. We also have a rule that prohibits this. If you disagree with the decision of a moderator, send them a PM. If you would rather take it to the next level, your next course of action is to PM one of the site administrators with your concerns. If you scroll down to the bottom of the forum main screen, you will see a link to the forum leaders --
Although not in the rules, another really bad thing to do is to PM another moderator and ask them to over ride the action of another moderator. As moderators, we may not always agree with what another moderator has done, but we do respect their decision to take the action they took.
And as a (hopefully) final reminder, when you signed up for this forum, every one of you checked a little box that said you agreed to follow the rules of the forum. Here they are --
