Yes i chased it up see below Best reply from gi on xmas day Thank you for contacting Game Insight Support Team! These mean murlods are ready to do anything not to allow the Christmas spirit come to the islands of the Tribez world! This time they tried to break all the zeppelins so that you could not transfer food between the islands. It almost seems like the evil plan was a success, but not a bit of it! The opportunity of transferring the food is not missing form the game. The matter is that the relevant icon was dislocated to the left and became almost invisible. However, if you tap on the left of your screen the icon will appear. We understand how important it is to fix the issue you have faced as soon as possible, so our engineers are taking urgent measures to eliminate the problem and to release an update that would make it disappearI noticed that you can no longer transfer food from one island to another. That is annoying. Has anyone else noticed this?

I've fed the walrus. If you click the quest icon with the fisherman's menu open, it will give a yellow arrow pointing at the 24 hr option. I think you'll want to do the Marble Dream quests separate from the walrus dive quest. - they aren't compatible. You do get crystals when you dive the walrus, so it is somewhat worth it. And yes it takes a ton of resources. But I think I have 10-12 marble processing plants working on it. I've spent around 60M gold in constructions costs with coal and polonium coming in too. At L105, you don't have anything else to work on, so you do any quest they add.
It is only the 24 hour deal in the fisherman's shop that registers on the quest. I asked GI about this and they deliberated for some time before suggesting that they may change this in a future update. It does cost a fortune to do deals for fish - especially the 24 hour deals.I've completed a couple of smaller deals at the fish shop, but they haven't registered on the Marble Dream quest, so I guess the 24 hour option is the only one that works. Should be able to upgrade the fish shop to the max later this evening so maybe I'll find out tomorrow. Glad to hear that all this work and cost results in something worthwhile, I was beginning to wonder. I'm finding it very limiting not being able to shift food around, tried and failed loads of times to find the "magic spot" at the left of the screen, still just makes it more it more challenging I suppose. The game had become very boring until these quests came along.

I reiterate that it makes sense to get 120 fish before doing any deals with the walrus. You can then do all three deals within the allowed 24 hours from initiating the first one. The good news, is that the rewards are reasonable and they do go into your inventory if your warehouses are full so you don't lose these rewards. Whether the rewards are worth all the cost in getting them is debatable but I'll continue because it's decent fun and a challenging quest. I think that I've spent well in excess of 200M coins since the last update. Mostly in building the new stuff, like fire stations, coal mines, Dino houses, Dino coasters etc. As previously stated, it is good to have something to go for after months of doldrums. I've found it relatively easy to move food from island to island if I do a light left to right swipe from the edge of the screen, just left of the wood icon. Cheers, Nutty
I'm on an iPad 2...too.Thanks for the info, spent a fortune in coins myself recently, still no matter they were just sitting there doing nothing. Thought there was some light at the end of the tunnel with your tip re the light swipe, but still no go, I'm using an iPad 2 maybe you're using something else. Just have to keep building more pig farms, by the way if you haven't already found out, don't bother with the Turkey farm, it doesn't give much more than the Pig farms and they don't cost crystals. Live and learn I suppose, no more crystals so can't make that mistake again.

I'm using iPad 2 too. I either thought that it's impossible to tap the food icon, but after Nutty's post tried again with positive effect. I developed a technique of frequent tapping the edge instead of light swiping
A very light tap in the black frame just to the left of the wood works every time for me on my iPad 2.I've tried swiping, I've tried tapping, I've tried swiping and tapping, nothing! Going to give up now before I try smashing it against the wall.
