Update iPad 3 4G from iOs 5.1 to iOs 5.1.1

I would like to upgrade my iPad from ios 5.1 to 5.1.1 (to Jailbreak it), but iTunes proposed to me ios 6 only. I've tried Shift+Restore with ios 5.1.1 downloaded, but it gave me an error message. Any suggestions?


FYI, I'm using windows.o

I don't think you can as 5.1.1 is no longer signed by Apple. It might be possible if you have the SHSH blobs saved but I am uncertain

I am sorry but you've missed the opportunity to upgrade to iOS 5.1.1 at this time. Apple is now only approving installs of iOS 6.
