USB upgrade -- Anyone tried it?

SUCCESS!!!!

My iPad now charges through the USB connection on my PC.

I had to flash my BIOS and then run a USB Charge program from my motherboard manufacturer.

But I am now showing CHARGING during PC connection.

Yes, but as soon as you turn off the screen it will start charging.

yeah i plug mine into my monitor to sync and if I leave it there the screen will eventually turn off and when I go back to it later it has taken some charge...it's just not as fast as the wall outlet.

Quick update:

Wall charger 1% per minute
Updated USB port 1% every 5 minutes (4.8)

So the wall charger is still MUCH faster. Not sure this update is worth the trouble.

-- Old USB port (verified NOT CHARGING then verified screen off a few minutes later) 1% every 15 minutes

So the wall charger is still MUCH faster. Not sure this update is worth the trouble.
