What may happen is that as ever year there are fewer reasens to jb, so hackers may give up at some stage. I wonder what pirates will do when that happens.

You don't have to jailbreak to be a pirate. But hopefully no jailbreak might deter them.

True, but no jb would stop the average user and the broad distribution of pirated apps...I think.
