Using JB iPad 2 as a hotspot

Hi guys

I'm able to use my JB iPad 2 as a hotspot (using MyWi 4.0 via wifi mode) for my notebook & iphone 4 without issues

However, my andriod phone (htc chacha 2.3 non rooted) does not 'see' the iPad 2 when the hotspot is on so there's no way to connect to it

Pls advise if this is a limitation of the MyWi app running as a PAN mode while acting as a hotspot or there's a solution
