Voice memo through shared libary

Either I am doing smoothing wrong or can I not listen to a voice memo through iTunes shared library on my iPad 2? I can view the folder with my memo's I just cannot play/listen to them. All my music and videos play fine. The voice memos play fine on the home library through my pc. Am I missing something?
