Last night's winds emptied our Copper Beach of the last of its leaves, plus went a long way to emptying neighbouring trees. The lawns were cleared of most of the leaf fall which will help with our garden tidy up :)

I was told that the wind was pretty fierce last night, with the rain beating against windows. At about midnight, the bedside lights switched themselves on to maximum. You touch the metal base to switch them on. I guess a power surge triggered them.

I slept right though. :)

Ooh.....that would scare me if my lights came on like that! But you're probably right about a power surge......well I hope you are. ;)

You must be a sound sleeper!

There is a bit of a weather front approaching this evening, in readiness for a foul weekend!

Sunglasses on with Miles on the terrace again lol!!! Don't get me wrong, I take him out for walks, he is a pee pee pad guy and doesn't need to go out three times a day. Even when we come home after being out for a whole day he still begs me for the terrace lol.

You should see my lazy boy, any sign of rain and he scarpers inside again and pees on the floor. Can't seem to cure him of this disgusting habit. He's the first pom that has been like it. They all have different natures. He's also blind at night so that's also a problem. Oh and no teef. Poor blighter. He has to wear a jumper now as its too cold for him. He suffers alopaecia. All fluff at the front and a baldy bum.

Hi joco, and welcome. Like you, I prefer to use the off topic forum. It seems that we share the same sentiments as a good number of the quarter million plus subscribers ;)

Yup. I love the off topic. We don't always need help. My Apple devices run brilliantly nowadays. Or is it, I know it all? Hmm. Bit big headed?
Anyway, what a night, Richard. Bloomin heck. That wind kept me up all night.

It's been very windy here since about 4.00 am. The wind speed has been hitting 11 on the Beaufort scale. That is 64 mph plus! I went out at 6.30 to tidy up disturbed containers, bamboo stakes etc.

It was dry with a clear sky and not cold.
