Our janitor spent three hours shovelling out this fire exit, now look at what the wind did.

The poor man worked in vain. Nature sometimes can be very cruel.

Major snowstorm continuing in Alberta. We had a 100 vehicle pileup today on the main highway between Edmonton and Calgary.

The storm is supposed to hit Saskatchewan tomorrow.

Sent from my stock iPad 2

Wow.....100 vehicles.....hope there weren't any serious injuries. That must be something to see though!

Take it easy out there Kevin.......or maybe not drive at all!

Only one serious injury. Many minor injuries. Edmonton Transit laid on busses to get people back into the city.

It could have been so much worse. Does anyone know what caused the accident?
Kevin, the snow has already come to Saskatchewan. I'll probably have to do some more shovelling in the morning.

I noticed there were quite a few turnpike doubles (2 53 foot trailers pulled by one tractor) on the TV coverage. Those things are not supposed to be on the road when conditions are as bad as that.

We knew it was coming. That's why I drove until 10pm last night; so I didn't have so far to travel in it. The road I was on at 8:30 this morning was closed by 10 am.

The accident was in our news, too, as well as tornados in Australia. :-(

It's sunny here, -1° C. Wind 15 - 40 km/h.

I didn't see anything of this on the news. It's lucky the injury toll was so light.

Well that's news to me.....tornadoes here somewhere, I'll have to watch the news tonight to find out just who has copped this now.

Thanks for that info!
