Just taken from our bedroom window, East Mids, UK. Ugh! I was hoping to go fly fishing on Monday. Ah, as my mate in Virginia always says, 'I'm still vertical'.

They both look good to me! But then my eyes aren't what they once were.

I hope it does clear up for you so you can still go ....I've always wanted to try that type of fishing.....it looks so peaceful.

Not in weather like we have at the moment, leelai. Fished the Tay in Scotland once with great big chunks of ice floating about and me in waders up to my waist. It was the adrenaline that time that made it enjoyable and the fact that I latched on to a 16 lb salmon. Happy days. Still, I digress.

Speaking of weather this day last Oct on the Old man river in southern alberta is where I found my avatar rock. I do a lot of lying around taking pics cause I royally suck at fishing. but they drag me along any way and dress me up so I pass because I am the fair weather guarantor.Sorry I have no shots of fishing in B.c. On my ipad yet. Those are the Rocky Mountains.

My...that sounds like an adventure!

And what a salmon to catch! ;)

We're getting some very large snow drifts against the rear of the store I work at. Look at what you see through the window in this door.

At first I thought you took this picture from outside your store. (Oops.)
This means the door is blocked by loads of snow?

Exactly, there's a snowdrift over 9' high right outside the door.

Is it still snowing where you are, or was only the wind the culprit?
It must be a very solid door, if it can withstand that pressure.

It hasn't been snowing that heavily, but we had a strong wind last night. We only got about 2" last night.

Does this mean the building had to close because the means of escape cannot be maintained?

No, it just means that it has to be shoveled out as soon as possible. The closest fire exit to this one is on the other side of the receiving room.
