Yesterday I read something about closing parts of Sellafield because of bad weather conditions.
Yes, I used to live at the western end of the Snake and Woodhead Passes (which run between Manchester and Sheffield) and on the radio they said that both were closed yesterday.....so it must have been pretty bad.

i'm with BT and last night it was a real nightmare,it was going on and off like a beacon,it was a full hour before it stabilised,i too wondered if it was the weather.Just seen the photos. Didn't appear at first on my iPad although I am having a gremlin of a day. BTW, if any UK member is using Sky broadband, does the connection keep dropping? I am assuming it is as a result of this weather as mine has only been acting like this since yesterday.

yes we're just a stones throw from the exchange too,it seems ok now, fingers crossedNo doubt BT is the reason, we are just 250 yards from the exchange and although our ISP is Sky, it is still a BT line,
I'm guessing you guys have special scrapers to get all that snow off your car windows! But what a task in the cold!
Some folks just wipe a mitten size hole in front of where the driver sits and let the wind force of driving do the rest. Not saying that's what I do.

That's actually illegal over here in the UK, your whole windscreen has to be clear.
