Weather

Beautiful cloudless day, started off cool and is warming up quickly. Was 11°C when I left home, now 16°C and on its way to 28°C

Well, it's roaring outside and our gazebo doesn't seem to have a roof anymore! Oops! Should have dismantled it sooner. Really rough winds out there. Let's hope people are staying indoors until it's safer but knowing some people, they seem to think its just another storm. A 14 year old boy has been swept I to the sea and the rescue has been called off.

Take care! You don't have to leave the house, I hope.

No, I'm on half term holidays luckily. I need to check on my horses though. We had to get up as the pom had a little tummy problem. Our neighbours wooden play tower has been felled. Must have been strong wind to knock that over. I'm hoping their rabbits are okay as one of the hutches was inside.

We're enjoying a week without lessons, as well.
Our weather is way better than yours. I think we're getting some sun today.

How are you situated elevation wise? Bill Sent from my iPhone using iPF

We are well above flood levels, if they occur. We had a foretaste of things at 2.30 am with strong wind gusts and heavy rain. Now it's dry with very very strong wind gusts, but no damage. Just bits I didn't stow properly scattered around the garden.

I couldn't believe it, but ITV2 screened "The Perfect Storm" at 6.30 PM yesterday!

Take care, both of you! I hope there won't be too much damage or personal injury.

I found this photo.

Be safe, Richard!
I hope it won't last too long!

Well, my gazebo is a bit bent and the cover is ripped all over the place. We'll have to see what to do next year. The next doors rabbit hutches went flying with their poor bunnies inside. Luckily they were all right but their kids wooden swing, slide tower fell over. A few of their tiles fell off their roof as well. A few trees down too.

You had better fortune than your neighbours, it seems, with "only" the gazebo bent and rippled.

It certainly was/is a wonderful place to sit and admire the beauty of your garden, enjoying the shadow as well.
What's it made of? (Which material?)
