What's new

Weather

Yesterday it was nice and breezy. I hung out the washing, much to my wife's amusement.

Not because I hung out washing, but because of my "invention". We have limited line space, so I get around the problem thus...

I've never seen that before Richard. Even with our long garden, if there is bedding etc... The space gets used up quick. I might try that idea!

Good morning Hayles. It works pretty well, provided you peg the items together securely! :)

You never know, I could have started a trend here. Lol

Well, I used to have two sock trees but my hubby seems to have pulled them out without my knowledge. They were two little trees which died and I used to hang all the smalls on them. It made for interesting conversations with unexpected visitors. I should have photographed it.

Britain is famous for it's double decker busses, now you've invented the double decker wash line. Maybe it'll become just as famous.:D

Sunny this morning on Canada Day with a 30-40% chance of scattered thunder showers starting at 11:00am local time. Predicted high of 28°C.

Me and my friend won some fish, but he got to keep them because we didn't have any more bowls. But it's ok because I already have one :)
And me,him, and my other friend went on the Himalaya 3 in a seat, and when it started going backwards really fast, we started screaming really loud, lol.

Amy, that sounds so nice that you won fish and gave it to your friend! What kind of fish...beta fish..gold fish?

I am not a fan of roller coasts that drop suddenly. I am fine with the turns, but the drops nerve me up!! :)

They were gold fish, and the drops nerve me too, lol

Goldfish only last a long time when they are carnival fish and you don't care if they live or die. Fish bought from a pet store will always die right away-- esp if you really like them.

The UK newspapers have been carrying interesting photos of our recent weird weather conditions.

I was particularly drawn to the shot of high level blue clouds seen above the Forth Bridge in Scotland.

This link takes you to photos and an article about the phenomenon. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2166528/Rare-blue-night-shining-clouds-pictured-dusk-Edinburghs-landmark-rail-bridge.html
