Wow, that's serious roadwork. I'd hate to put up with the disruption, mess and noise. At least you'll have nice, new infrastructure when all is done, though.

I guess that's an older neighborhood, judging by the houses? I lived in one similar previously -- our carriage house was out back, accessed by an alley.

Nice. The home I lived in was from 1906, but had been gutted and freshened.

Yes, it does. Nice to have carriage houses in back, too. Easier to do this kind of construction and still be able to get home, lol.

We call them garages in North America,but the idea is the same.The newer neighborhoods don't have back alleys and have no choice but to drive onto their property from the front. Unfortunately, the fronts of most newer houses consist of not much more than a large garage door plus the main entranceway and living room window.They almost look like temples to the automobile god.
