No I don't play at these games........I'll step in at times and they do all want me to play, but I don't gamble with cards.

I whip their butts at all other card games though as I have an uncanny knack for remembering cards.

Canasta was one of the first card games I ever learnt, haven't played in years!

I don't know anyone now who can play it but I have a set of cards in case I ever meet someone who does!

It's difficult to find others around to play now. My mother's family in Denmark all played like mad and I think it was where I got my enthusiasm for it, but they have all gone over to bridge. When we were young, it was the only game to play. Now I'm left not knowing any other card games & constitutionally anti-Bridge...

And we also have a very nice set of cards with handsome jokers!
