What's new

What are you guys doing right NOW??? ;)

Totally agree Kay and Richard! Love, love ,love them. Bridge over troubled water is my favourite. Although the others are close behind.

Just had toasted cheese and ham toast and I'm waiting, hoping my little girl is going to make a cup of tea seeing as I made her some toast too!

We should be clear about this. "Bridge over Troubled Water" is the very, very best album ever made. Yes?

Second cup if coffee is poured.
Keeping cool is the imperative. Hi of 35 C today.

That's hot. Glad it's not that here.
But it may be more dodgy for you two just now, in your present jaundiced state.
Are you looking after yourselves?
Do take care.
Go and sit in front of a fan.
Let that coffee cool down before drinking.
All that stuff.
:-)

Hmmm! No! I love all kinds of music and will play all kinds of music in every mood. I love classical just as much and then I'm a rock chick, then pop etc... I can't physically choose one album as being the only one for a specific mood. Sorry. It's my honest opinion. Not necessarily anyone else's. I do still love S & G though.

I also enjoy all sorts of music, apart from opera. This discussion has acted as a catalyst for me to post pics of part of my CD collection. It's occupying parts of my bookshelves in my study.

I need to blow the dust off some of the covers and play those sounds. Some of my collection had been transferred to the iPod.

The yellow case beneath the Jazz Funk CD contains a double CD set of an orchestra playing synthesiser music.

Re: Synthesizers, are you familiar with the work of "Tangerine Dream" and "Symphonic Slam"?

OK. Yes, I'm also into all sorts too. Beethoven, Mozart to Clapton, Howlin Wolf, Seasick Steve & the Fishermen's Friends (or whatever they call themselves) & more or less everything in between.

And lots that used to be on Saturday morning wireless, Children's Favourites (who remembers that?) such as "I'm a pink toothbrush" & "Three Billy Goats Gruff". Good grief, I really should get out more:-)

But some albums seem to stand out as something special. OK, more than one...so not technically the very best. But Very Good :-)

"Tangerine Dream" for King! Forgotten them. Must add them to the candidates.

A nice collection to suit all moods :-)
Do you also have vinyl? That you can't bear to throw out? Loads? That you haven't played for years? Like us?
