Got a better idea. Let 'em fix up the Yellowhead while they are on the way.

All you have to do is arrange for a few thousand truckloads of asphalt to keep the machine supplied. You could hook up a dump trailer to your truck and do your part.:)

Riding the bus to work.

Taking a break from decorating. I'm brush painting corners, covings and skirting tops before applying the emulsion. I use a powered paint system which makes me work hard non stop. Good for a workout ;)

I also have the iPad tuned to the radio for music and discussions while I work.

Check out the one posted now.

AA

Just have, while cooling down after fully emulsioning a 7' X 7' x 6'8" bedroom. (1hr's work!)

I cannot see the connection yet. If he has, then that's more than fast ;).

EDIT I just spotted the challenge is your's AA. I'm guessing is a red lacquered Oriental statue, but that's as far as I can go.

Is there a difference between saying that you emulsified a room vs. painting it? Water-based paint vs. oil-based? Is that commonly used to describe painting in the UK?

In a way. We do normally say a room has been painted. However, the term (emu sip Ed - spell check's "correction!) emulsioned the walls and ceiling is used at times.

Interesting. Maybe six to eight years ago, I started hearing some manicurists saying they "varnish" nails vs. "paint" them. The only difference that I could see between the two was that the more expensive manicurists used the word "varnish," lol.

LOL and I come cheap! I decorate for nothing, or to maintain the family peace ;) :)
