Sealcoat. And a huge amount of dust. That's why it's single lane. It's not safe for two lanes. You can hardly see where you are going. Especially when you are following a 7-axle trick (like mine).

Yes. In a few weeks it will be in good shape. A couple of years ago the section by Suicide Hill was being worked on. There was so much dust it was easy to lose the road completely. As far as I know, there were no accidents, but I don't know how.
