Well, I'm not sure how big a brown recluse is, but I would be taking that one to a hospital. And just for a change I AM being serious. The bite of the brown recluse is potentially fatal.

Im almost 100 percent sure it wasn't a recluse. Thank you for the concern.

Take the spider too if you can ,makes identification much quicker.
It can rule out potential deadly ones too!!!

Maybe you don't have them in the part of Australia where you live, but there are plenty of spiders in Australia. Some really gruesome ones, actually.

The picture of the house surround by the spider webs is beautiful. I know the floods and everything else is devastating, but the picture was really gorgeous.

Yes I saw that Kkk, amazing isn't it....yes we have some bad spiders here

We have a white tailed spider that when it bites someone it will destroy the flesh around the bite.

Sorry Fleur....but those spiders are only here...so no worry there! And that's a mild photo to some I've seen.

Good grief...I think I am so not enjoying my nova scotia lobster sandwich right about now after seeing that pic!! Wooo---that man needs some serious wound care management STAT!

Yes it's ghastly isn't it. I've seen photos where the victim looks like a shark attack survivor....

The picture doesn't bother me much--I used to do wound care as part of my internship in acute care. So that pic...is actually good in comparison to some others I am sure.

The sandwich was so delish-first time to have one at the Palm's. Great food!

That picture is gross, but do keep it, gives perspective of how lucky one can be not be bitten by that spider. Hope that ghastly wound can be treated 100%
