What I see in my backyard...

Another move in store for my feeder. These squirrels don't give up!

A few of my own squirrel pictures here. Just think they are a cute critter and their coloring is quite varied where we live.

The next pictures are what I saw in our backyard up at the cottage:

I learnt some ideas for putting off squirrels from raiding bird feeders at the card fair.

1. Open up 2 wire coat hangers and link to form a long wire. Loop the wire onto a springy tree branch which will give under a squirrel's weight. Hang the feeder from the wire. Squirrels don't like the long wire.

2. Make a feeder from 2 clear plastic food dishes (top one inverted) connected by a cylinder of wire mesh. The plastic must be see through for the birds to see the food. Drill a drainage hole in the bottom dish so food stays dry. Hang the assembly from the wire coat hanger assembly.

That's a great shot showing the lake.

Some Autumn Color that we had:

The trees where I live don't show the nice colours yours do. Most of the trees in my city are elm trees and the leaves normally turn only various shades of yellow before dropping.

I think we missed the peak of color by about week with some of the pics, but still was able to catch some of the changes!

We had a trail cam hooked up on our land. This is one of our findings. We need help identifying this creature?

It looks like it might be a type of fox.
