WIFI Connection lost

Stooby here,

I am here in the US loving my Ipad. I am a writer and have six children! Love the big family atmosphere. Haven't had any trouble with it until recently. Somehow it seems like my Ipad has been high-jacked! I lost connection with my WIFI at home. Since trying to reconnect, another WIFI connection pops up on in my settings. Have been spending hours trying to figure it out. Any advice?

No - he is here - it's only 1409 in Scotland....

OK - you say another network now pops up - this is likely a neighbour's network or something similar. If you go to 'Settings', 'WiFi' can you see your own network there? There's a setting that allows you to 'Join Known Networks Automatically' and, if you click this, it should automatically join your home network when it finds it and ignore other networks it doesn't 'know about' - i.e. ones for which it doesn't have the password.

Let us know if this helps - if the problem persists or I'm completely wrong (it's not unheard of ) then let me know and we'll try something else.

Eight boys! Wow that is a blessing! You will not have to get a shotgun! I have four boys and two very pretty girls! It am cringing as they get older.

I read some of the other threads about rebooting my router and Ipad. How could something so simple bring me such great joy! LOL I will try what you recommended so that we can ignore the other networks.
