I don't need to think about this scenario, as it has just happened to me. I opened the game and everything has gone. I'm back at zero and as sick as the proverbial parrot.

I've sent a request for help to GI but I'm not holding my breath for the reply.

One thing is for sure, I won't be starting another new airport. If they don't reinstate my game, they will get some harsh feedback and I'll give up. Can't go through all that effort again whilst constantly worrying that it might all be lost once again!

I have done frequent cloud back-ups on my iPad but I've no idea whether that will help the situation.

Personally I think these map based quests are rather time consuming and expensive. I also think that GI are over doing it giving so many. One wouldn't have been too bad. They seem to have a "good" idea and then flog it to death!

Is there any sign of the new map packs from Crocker?

Long distance items please.My sons Airport is called "Rigby's city" he needs landing lamps. My iPhone Airport is called Randy Bobandy , Needs fuel ad,landing lamps, fuel sup or spare wires.

Yes you can purchase maps for a couple of destinations and a set.

I haven't tried to do any kind of restore, mainly because I'm not sure how to do this, but also because I first want to see whether GI can get my game back.
It was a bit of a nightmare yesterday when my game opened at level 1 with the start tutorial.
Below is today's response from GI, to which I have just replied. It gives some hope and I'm sure that all our forum friends will be interested in the final outcome.
The sad thing, is that this could happen to anyone. I wasn't doing anything extraordinary to cause the data loss, just opening the game.

I should draw your attention to the fact that game save files are stored on our server during a limited period of time and in case you don't have any information on your previous game or your save files are no longer available, I will do my best to help you and reapply your purchases from your old game to the new one.

So that I could look closer into your case and consider all options we have, please provide me with the following details:

1) Your username in the previous game.
2) Your new username.
To see your username tap the Sociality button (the button with 3 people in the lower left corner of the display) → choose another button with 3 people and you will see your username in the Profile tab.
3) More details about your previous game:
- What part of the game progress was lost? Did the game begin from the tutorial?
- Your experience level in the previous game.
- Amount of banknotes/ stars you had.

As soon as you get all the information requested please contact me again. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Level:40 Pingways, I need: new items for building upgrades, and catering / long distance flight items / duty free items - especially cookies and perfume
 
I was just thinking that if two of us on his forum alone have lost our airport in the last 4 days this must be a massive problem for GI. There must be thousands of players around the globe this has happened to.

I know I got a standard reply to my ticket yesterday because they asked for all the details on my game that I had already mentioned in the ticket. They clearly didn't really read my ticket but just fired off a standard reply.

My lost airport is just sitting on their server now with time running out until it completely disappeares. This is so frustrating.
Well, I gave back a very 'bad mooded' letter to the 'standard' reply that they sent yesterday asking for the details of the disappearance of the glass display cases. Then they ask for feedback on the support!!
