You are probably spot-on.
I guess that perhaps North America and Canada are in one GI player zone and Europe and Australasia etc in others?
Surely that aren't giving gifts according to zone now?
It seems like a good conspiracy to promulgate whilst the game is so faulty.

Honestly, this game is so messed up it seems almost laughable.
I think GI has a lot of problems. They had a huge problem with the Big Business game this week. It seems about half their players lost the game on Tuesday (including me) and were sent back to level one. Possibly due to a server breakdown. Incredibly, the next day the majority of players were restored and they send everyone (incl players that hadn't been affected) 50 greens!
On the other hand I read on the BB forum about blocked players there as well. Apparently in the same boat as a lot of us.
It makes you wonder how long GI can mistreat their customers across the board until they all decide to walk away.

Actually, I really enjoy BB! It's a great game and I haven't had to spend any money. There's lots of ways to spend hard cash if you want to but it's not necessary. You should definitely try it.
BB deluxe is the new iPhone version I think? I did hear that you cannot interact cross platform. You might be better off on iPad.

Since the upgrade, I haven't been able to visit anyone to send gifts, nor access any gifts being sent to me (on iPad).This is likely to be why you aren't currently receiving gifts from your neighbours.
I do detect some slight improvements this morning so perhaps GI are making some efforts to rectify their issues.
I notice the discounts on a couple of items today - is this cynical attempt to keep us playing?

I got the Russian video too and I actually received the greenie whereas I didn't get the English ones as my game is blocked.
